Preference for Hiring in Employment

It shall be the policy and practice of the Corporate Employers to recruit Corporate Team Members according or the following priorities:

First: Qualified candidates who are enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque.
Second: Qualified candidates who are not enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque, but who are spouses, significant others, or children of enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque. 
Third: Qualified candidates who are enrolled members of another (Non-Pojoaque) Indian Tribe.

·         Responsible for ensuring prepared food is delivered to customers efficiently and promptly, displaying the highest of customer standards freshness and rotation of products for the guest.

·         Checks and controls the number of food items being utilized and rotation in storage areas of prepared foods, maintaining freshness and quality of the product. Informs the manager if the food does not meet standards.

·         Performs general/routine cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.

·         Participates as a team member with Food Servers, Cooks, Supervisors, Buspersons, and any pertinent employee in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of Customer Services.

·         Keeps floors dry and clean to avoid slip/fall accidents.

·         Performs other duties as requested by the manager.

·         Other duties as assigned.

·         Must be at least 18 years of age.

·         Working knowledge about determining food quality, including storage, rotation, and labeling procedures.

·         Ability to work under pressure

·         Ability to read, write and speak the English language.

·         Organized and effectively manages time.

 

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year restaurant (food industry) experience preferred.

·         Standing/Walking: 100%. Employee may walk or stand up to 4 hours at a time. 

·         Ability to grasp, lift, push, pull, and carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.

·         Ability to lifts, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. with assistance.

·         Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop, and reach on a continuous basis up to an 8-hour shift.

·         Shift work required.  Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
