Starting Salary $77,000 plus benefits
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The Evaluation Officer leverages expertise in data collection, quantitative analysis, and reporting to assess the impact of CSC funding on child outcomes. Within the context of a social impact organization, this role draws on skill sets used in both user research and data science to conduct complex quantitative analyses, synthesize findings, and communicate actionable insights to diverse stakeholders including peers, executive leadership, community partners, and community members.
As part of an internal community of researchers, the Evaluation Officer contributes to a culture of peer learning, knowledge sharing and continuous innovation and improvement. They also manage and coordinate internal and external evaluation projects, applying strong project management and user-centered skills across the evaluation life cycle.
This position calls for a strategic, innovative thinker who champions the use of research and evaluation to inform and drive improvements in strategy at both the program and system level. To accomplish this, the Evaluation Officer is committed to communicating complex findings to diverse lay audiences and facilitating learning conversations to build capacity, foster collaboration and create shared understanding and expectations across teams and partners, resulting in the utilization of actionable insights.
The Evaluation Officer brings experience in social impact contexts while consistently demonstrating a strong blend of technical, analytical, communication, and adaptive skills to support CSC’s mission of improving the well-being of all children served.
Master’s degree in Evaluation, Measurement, Applied Research, Statistics, Education, Public Health, Human Services, Social Science, Behavioral Science or closely related field, supplemented with five (5) years of professional experience in research, program and/or human services evaluation.
Strong Proficiency in one or more statistical programming languages (e.g. SPSS, STATA, R, Python). While not a requirement, preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following desired areas: rapid cycle evaluation, data visualization or results-based accountability.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the minimum requirements listed.
Conditions of Employment
The evaluation officer will be working on site at our office in Boynton Beach, Florida with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week following a probationary period.
