Job Summary
The Lead Custodian is responsible for cleaning floors, furniture, windows, walls, following established policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. Repairs and maintains all facilities, furnishings, and equipment in a timely and professional manner. Maintains exterior grounds and removes trash. Must provide an exceptional experience for internal and external Guests and in both in public, and back-of-house areas. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the organization’s policies and procedures, tribal regulations, and all federal/state laws, as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
> All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa’s Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, SOP’s, and any other related training.
> Ensure an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the properties, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner.
> Assist in training new custodians.
> Maintain inventory of supplies.
> Report problems and/or areas of concern to Facilities Supervisor.
> Clean lobbies, casino, lounges, restrooms, corridors, and stairways.
> Sweep, scrub, wax, and polishes floors.
> Clean or repair rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies as needed.
> Dust furniture, artwork, and picture frames.10. Wash walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
> Empty and clean wastebaskets and ashtrays.
> Transport trash and waste to disposal area from internal or external property locations.
> Replenish bathroom supplies when needed.
> Reposition chairs, tables, etc. to their original positions.
> Keep all public areas in the casino clean of any unused glasses, bottles, debris.
> Report all defects in equipment, furniture, and fixtures to the Facilities Supervisor.
> Clean and dispose of biohazard waste in proper equipment when required, which may include feces, vomit, and blood.
> Repair damaged facilities and furnishings and perform preventative maintenance as directed.
> Paint, repair, and hang drywall and wallpaper.
> Perform minor repairs of plumbing systems and equipment and perform facility modifications as directed.
> Mow grass, plow snow, water lawn, tend to flower beds, and regularly inspect assigned work areas to ensure proper standards are maintained.
> Plant and maintain exterior and interior landscaping in accordance with the landscaping plan.
> Clean, repair and maintain casino walkways, parking lots and grounds.
> Move furniture and equipment as needed.
> Promptly responds to all repair requests.
> Offer support and assistance to other Team Members and departments.
> Maintain knowledge of special events, hours of operation, and other pertinent information.
> Perform additional duties or projects, as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
> High School diploma or GED is required.
> At least 21 years of age.
> Valid Driver’s License and be insurable on Company’s Policy
> 1 year experience as a custodian and 1 year experience with plumbing, carpentry, painting, landscaping, and / or other construction building trades or facility maintenance preferred.
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
> Must be at least 21 years of age.
> Regular and reliable attendance.
> Operates lawn and grounds equipment including power mowers and other power equipment.
> Must be able to use basic tools used in plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping.
> Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
> Ability to work cooperatively with all departments and all team members.
> Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
> Ability to maintain high confidentiality.
> Ability to independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner.
> Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
> Ability to prioritize tasks.
> Ability to follow directions.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
> Ability to obtain and maintain Gaming License is required.
> Key positions require knowledge and application of Title 31 reporting requirements.
> Must have the ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug test.

Physical
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job. Conditions in this job may require exposure to extreme heat or cold and/or equipment, tools, or chemicals that can be hazardous if not handled or disposed of properly. Job requirements include ability to lift, move, carry, and balance heavy objects and involve standing and walking for hours at a time.
While performing the job duties, the employee is required to maneuver in all areas of casino and related entity locations when necessary. Ability to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the offices and between buildings or properties for the duration of work hours. Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms, including lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, or boxes, up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color, and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files. Job may lift, move, carry, and balance heavy objects and involve standing and walking for hours at a time.

Work Environment

Work in, or visit offices, casino operations, assigned outlet, hotel, kitchen, meeting space, convention center, gaming floor, motor vehicle, various amenities, and/or additional entity locations, or external environments, as related to business. Environment includes exposure to second-hand smoke, high noise level, bright lights, and sometimes fluctuating temperatures or weather conditions. Must be able to work irregular or additional hours or shifts, including holidays or weekends, as assigned, in order to meet business needs.
