Strategic Analysis, Inc (SA) is seeking a versatile, skilled Biotechnology SETA to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) Health Science Futures PM activities. The ARPA-H mission is to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone by supporting the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems.  

Responsibilities: 

1. Lead molecular diagnostics talent & technology scouting 
2. Assist, support and provide advice to the Program Manager to further the development and progress of new and existing programs. Specifically, the candidate will be expected to conduct thorough scientific evaluation of the current R&D landscape to identify gaps in research portfolios to address critical needs that are aligned with the ARPA-H mission, monitor and track performers progress toward established metrics, be able to read and digest complex information, develop briefings for technical and non-technical audiences.
3. The candidate will be expected to integrate into an existing team to support current ARPA-H efforts and be able to operate .

Requirements: 

1. Strong background in multiplex pathogen and allergen diagnostics (eg: for fungi, bacteria, virus). 
2. Biosensor development (assay development and microfluidics)
3. Multiplex PCR, nucleic acid detection, CRISPR detection experience preferred.
4. Experience in wearables industry. 
5. Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, which include proficiency with key board shortcuts and ability to create PPT slides and Excel files on the fly during a meeting in a high-pressure environment. 
6. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Other tasks include some basic administrative tasks such as collecting, sorting, analyzing, and writing Internal programmatic reports/briefings on relevant topics in a health-related field. Some CONUS travel is expected (~10-20%) as needed to fully support the Program and Program Manager.
7.  Previous experience with basic and applied research and prior support to Program Managers in an R&D environment, is preferred.  8. The ideal candidate must be flexible to work outside standard business hours to meet deadlines. Professional curiosity, continuous drive for learning, and the ability to focus on assigned tasks are critical attributes of the ideal candidate.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• EDUCATION:  Ph. D required in Molecular Microbiology, Genomics, Bioengineering, Synthetic Biology, Systems Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields
• CLEARANCE:   HHS, NIH Public Trust (Ability to obtain)
• EXPERIENCE:  minimum of 5+  years working with senior leadership in a professional environment.
