Assists in preparation of test items, test sites, related equipment, and facilities in support of Patriot Air Defense Missile System testing. Participates in test operations and prepares operational test documentation and correspondence including Operation Test Plans (OTSs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and National Range Documentation (NRDs). Specific tasking may include instrumentation setup and operation, collection and distribution of data, ammunition assembly, and environmental monitoring. Uses knowledge of Patriot Air Defense Missile System to perform job requirements.
Applies general knowledge of Patriot Air Defense Missile System operating procedures and testing requirements and references written manuals and procedures to assure proper setup and operation of equipment for test purposes. Work may be checked by supervisor or higher graded technician to assure compliance with written procedures, test plans and/or accepted practices. May be assigned other duties within his or her capabilities.
Minimum qualification requirements include graduation from a two-year resident course at a technical institute and two years of progressive experience in the specific field, or a total of five years progressive experience in the specific field. Military training and experience with the Patriot Air Defense Missile System will be evaluated and allowed as qualifying. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver around weapons systems and be able to work in exterior unprotected environments.
Work will include cross-utilization into other jobs as required. May require some overtime and/or weekend work.
