Typical work assignments include performing all aspects of survivability testing on systems and components to include nuclear effects, electromagnetic environmental effects, and directed energy effects. Prepare test plans and procedures, provide test system setup, perform system checkouts, operate and maintain test systems, collect, reduce and analyze data, and prepare test reports. Perform component level characterizations, design and setup, and operate data acquisition systems to collect data for survivability assessment programs. Conduct radiated emissions and susceptibility testing and field mapping. Design and fabricate data test console and subsystem as well as test beds for component level characterization. Build and repair fiber optic and coaxial cables. Provide operational and maintenance services for test facility systems and equipment such as Fast Burst Reactor, Gamma Radiation Facility, Linear Accelerator, Electromagnetic Pulse Facilitates, Electromagnetic Radiation Facilities, and Electrostatic Discharge and Lightning Facilities, and semiconductor test laboratory.
Work will include associated cross-utilization into these and other jobs as required. May require some overtime and weekend work.
