POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provides administrative and technical human resources
assistance
to the Human Resources Department
.
Answers and screens incoming telephone calls
.
Answers routine inquiries from inside and outside the company on employment verifications, benefits
claim
processing, and job openings
.
Maintains employment resumes, application forms, and applicant flow logs
.
Places job orders with state job service and classified advertisements in local newspapers
.
Verifies unemployment insurance claims
.
Maintains employee personnel files and
retains
records in line with company record retention requirements
.
Participates in human resources orientation to new employees. Provides employees with benefit plan information
.
Maintains official bulletin boards in an up-to-date and legal compliance manner. Prepares job postings, personnel reports, and offer letters in addition to routine correspondence
.
Assists
and reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must have two years progressive experience in human resources and related clerical and administrative duties
.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and
possess
excellent word processing capability
.
Must
possess
tact, above average communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both employees and managers
.
Must have the ability to work in a demanding and flexible environment and convey a positive and professional image to applicants and employees.
