SUMMARY:The Medical Assistant at Sunshine Community Health Center, is a vital member of our medical team, playing a key role in providing equitable, timely, and evidence-based care. This position is responsible for offering direct clinical support to both the medical team and individuals seeking health services. Operating within the framework of a patient-centered home, the Medical Assistant adopts a team-based and trauma-sensitive approach to ensure the delivery of compassionate and effective healthcare services. The medical assistant participates in organizational-wide compliance quality standards. Our Medical department is dedicated to fostering continuous partnerships with communities, the broader healthcare team, and local organizations. At Sunshine Community Health Center, healthcare is administered with a commitment to continuity and comprehensive efforts to enhance the overall well-being of the individuals we serve.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Graduation from a medical assistant training program, (or equivalent schooling) or on-the-job training at the discretion of the LPN III. Medical certification or licensure preferred, or a minimum of two years’ experience in the healthcare field. Current CPR certification. Current TB screening and Hepatitis B immunization is recommended for all SCHC employees.
