This position is responsible for answering and directing telephone calls from insureds, third parties, and other callers needing assistance and will provide prompt, efficient, and expedient service.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY
Complete electronic loss notices when callers need to report a claim.
Assign new claims to the appropriate Claims Representative and advise claimants of the name and contact information for the Claims Representative. Transfer callers to assigned Claims Representative.
Open new files in the Electronic Loss Notice system for all lines, out-of-state claims, and accidental death claims.
Process salvage items, including processing salvage checks, and entering recovery amounts into the system.
Release batch check print jobs.
Balance checks, issued from the Waco home office and small claims, on a daily basis.
Balance recoveries, stop payments, and salvage payments for all regional and district offices.
Review, prepare and index all mail forwarded from district and regional offices to ensure that it has been properly indexed for scanning.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Spanish/English bilingualism preferred.
Strong problem solving abilities.
Ability and willingness to learn and extend skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software required for this job.
Use of PC, telephone, copy machine, fax, and other office equipment over six (6) hours per day.
Extended periods of sitting and concentration.
Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, lifting, reaching, and moving items weighing up to 30 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Occasional long, irregular hours.
Work to be conducted in office environment owned or leased by company.
