The Texas Farm Bureau is seeking a communications intern for Summer 2025. This student intern will work directly with Texas Farm Bureau Communications Division staff to complete a wide range of day-to-day activities in the TFB headquarters office in Waco, Texas.
The intern will assist with assignments and projects for TFB publications, video, radio, social media, graphic design, media relations, and other communications efforts.
Applicant must be organized, flexible, detail oriented and able to take on a wide variety of tasks and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communications skills are essential. Some overnight travel may be required (TFB provided).
This internship is a paid position ($15/hour) and is a great opportunity to learn the agricultural communications industry. The student will work approximately 20 hours per week during an eight-week period sometime between May 19 – August 22, 2025 (hours and schedule to be determined, in consultation with intern). TFB is not providing housing for this position, but TFB can advise on housing opportunities and considerations.

Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Agriculture Communications or an undergraduate degree in Public Relations or Communication-type field with a personal background or knowledge of agriculture.
Must be comfortable with AP Style and various types of writing (formal and informal, etc.)Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must be a team player with a strong work ethic
Working knowledge of Adobe software
Occasional long, irregular hours.
Use of P.C., telephone, copy machine, fax, and other office equipment over six (6) hours per day.
Extended periods of sitting and concentration.
Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and moving items weighing up to 30 lbs.
Occasional travel by auto or other public transportation.
Hours subject to change at the discretion of the company.
