Position Summary: The Trading Director is responsible for identifying, monitoring, supporting decision on product portfolio sales and acquisition in collaboration with the America’s Sales division and Asset management teams. They will oversee the promoting of rotables, consumables and expendables acquisition and sales as well as finding channel opportunities for existing inventory. The position requires a strategic vision of the market as well as tactical abilities to find and close deals in collaboration with the SVP Sales America. Duties & Responsibilities: • Evaluates the performance of current trade marketing strategies, instituting changes when necessary. Uses internal analyses and customer feedback to establish and direct short- and long-term trade/channel marketing objectives. • Serves as the primary liaison between sales, marketing, and assets management departments to ensure consistency across departments regarding overall trade marketing strategies and objectives. • Analyzing market trends is a crucial part of a trading manager's role. By understanding the variability within the marketplace, you can identify new business opportunities and make lucrative trade deals. • Consults on a national level with MRO majors and senior management with respect to customer trends and needs. • Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management. • Establishes departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization. • Create and maintain product backlogs and user trends. • Deep sales analysis on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis to develop immediate and long-term strategy. • Manage the Gross Profit and Gross margin to ensure we achieve budgeted profitability. • Identify packages or potential inventory acquisition to support offering and availability of materials. Required Qualifications: • 20 years of proven sales trading experience. • Exceptional time management, facilitation and organizational skills. • Experience in manufacturing or repair service environment a plus. • Exceptional written/oral communication skills and global customer relationship management. • Attention to details. • Proven problem resolution skills and resourcefulness. • Proven excellent reasoning and strong decision-making skills. • Exceptional ability to stay organized while multi-tasking. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 5+ years of proven sales trading experience. • 5+ years of demonstrated customer service experience. • 2 years of demonstrated leadership of direct reports and/or matrix dotted line team reports. • Demonstrated experience using computers and various software related programs. • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Experience with ERP/MRP. Travel: • Travel is required, 20% for customers, supplier meetings, industry events, and asset inspections. Language: • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
