Cycle Counter

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Summary:

The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through regular cycle counting, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accurate stock levels in the warehouse. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while keeping correct data.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cycle counts of inventory to verify stock levels and accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, reporting findings to the supervisor.
  • Utilize inventory management systems to track and update stock data.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory control.
  • Work closely with warehouse, purchasing, and operations teams to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Assist with root cause analysis for inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of cycle count results.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (such as forklifts or scanners) as needed for inventory counting.
  • Conduct physical counts and reconcile variances with system records.
  • Assist with inventory audits and year-end inventory processes.

     

    Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics, supply chain, or related fields is a plus.

  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse, or logistics preferred.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS) is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets with accuracy and efficiency.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operate warehouse equipment (such as forklifts, Pickers, Pallet Jacks or scanners) as needed for inventory counting.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand for extended periods.
  • Carrying, Walking, Pushing, Climbing, Reaching.

  • None

    Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse setting.
  • May involve exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels.
  • Must be comfortable with heights when counting the upper racks in the warehouse.
