Cycle Count Supervisor

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Summary:

The Cycle Count Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and executing the cycle counting process across multiple facilities, ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with corporate policies. This role requires full onsite presence to manage physical inventory while overseeing remote inventory management (RMI) processes for offsite locations. Additionally, the Cycle Count Supervisor will lead and develop a team, ensuring high performance and operational efficiency.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to the established cycle count program across multiple facilities, enforcing compliance and accuracy in execution.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cycle count operations.
  • Oversee the scheduling and execution of daily, weekly, and periodic cycle counts across multiple warehouse locations.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
  • Lead, train, and manage a team, providing performance feedback and development opportunities.
  • Assign and monitor team workload, ensuring efficiency and accountability in cycle counting operations.
  • Oversee remote inventory management (RMI) processes to ensure inventory accuracy at offsite locations.
  • Work closely with warehouse operations, procurement, finance, and supply chain teams to enhance inventory control measures.
  • Utilize ERP or WMS systems to monitor, analyze, and report on inventory accuracy and discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company inventory control policies across multiple sites.
  • Monitor and report on inventory accuracy KPIs, including Inventory and Cycle count accuracy, discrepancy resolution time, and value of adjustments
  • Conduct audits to ensure proper bin location accuracy, stock rotation, and loss prevention measures.
  • Collaborate with finance and audit teams to support periodic and annual inventory audits across multiple sites.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance inventory management efficiency.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Asset Management, Logistics, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory management, cycle counting, or warehouse operations, preferably across multiple facilities.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team in an inventory control or asset management setting.
  • Experience using ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other inventory optimization methodologies (preferred).
  • Excellent team leadership, coaching, and communication skills to manage staff and coordinate inventory operations.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and create reports using Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles, asset management, supply chain management, and warehouse operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Ability to drive a forklift and operate hand trucks (preferred).
  • APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

Travel:

  • May require travel between company facilities as needed for audits, training, and oversight.

Language:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 25–40 lbs. occasionally during audits or inspections.
  • Carrying, Bending, Walking, Pushing, Climbing, Reaching.
