Our Heating and Cooling division provides heating maintenance and repair support across our portfolio in the Washington, DC area.  Schedule: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday- Friday, rotating on call shifts.  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manually move debris, bulk trash, or other materials or perform other unskilled general labor • Must be able to diagnose and repair boiler issues on multiple properties throughout the city • Report maintenance needs to supervisor or maintenance department • Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupation Safety & Health Act) standards • Provides preventative checks on equipment PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8 hours or more per day). • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: bend/stoop/squat/kneel, perform routine maintenance duties, climb stairs, climb step ladder, push or pull, reach above shoulders, grasp/grip/turning, lifting/carrying supplies, tools, and other equipment over 25 lbs EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma or GED equivalent with 5 years laborer or similar work experience • Two years experience servicing boilers required E ngineers license preferred bot not reuired • Must have a valid driver’s license with a record that will permit you to drive company vehicles  BENEFITS: • Health Insurance  • Dental Insurance  • Vision Insurance • 401(k) Plan with company match  • Ten paid holidays  • Commuter Benefits • Employee Assistance Program  • Free parking  ABOUT WC SMITH WC Smith is a leading multidisciplinary real estate company firmly grounded in the District of Columbia.  We have provided integrated real estate services to the DC metropolitan area for over 50 years, developing and managing a portfolio in excess of 10,000 units of residential real estate.   Founded in 1968, WC Smith has built a reputation as one of the most capable and respected property management and development organizations in the area.  What sets WC Smith apart from other firms is our holistic approach to community building.
