Must be at least 21 years old. Bachelor’s degree in a human service field from an accredited university and have one-year relevant experience with the target population; or,
an associate degree and have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with the target population; or a high school graduate or have a General Educational Development (GED) test and a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with the target population, and a minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECH SUPERVISOR: Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager. Will organize and coordinate Case Management services for residential youth in the Crisis Stabilization program. Will meet with CYFD weekly to coordinate exit plans for clients. Will be an onsite supervisor overseeing day to day programming, scheduling, intakes, and other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Extensive knowledge and experience working in a residential setting. Extensive knowledge of community resources and ability to work efficiently with public and private agency professionals.
Broad knowledge of assessment, service planning and service coordination in working with adolescents and families.
Ability to establish an effective professional manner in all dealings with clients and the public.
Ability to exhibit emotional maturity and good judgment, to include high moral standards and proper oral/written communication skills.
Must be dependable and flexible regarding working hours.
Ability to follow and carry out written and oral instructions, quickly and accurately. Must be able to use discretion in all facets of work-related situations. Possess the ability to meet all deadlines while multi-tasking. Broad knowledge and experience in working with adolescents and their families. Must keep abreast of modern techniques and methods used in working with youth in a residential setting.
JOB CHARACTERISTICS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is a professional position which requires organizational and communication skills, as well as good judgment, tact and diplomacy in contacts with YDI employees, community residents, parents and local government agencies. Strict adherence is required to all regulation concerning confidentiality. Good general health. Background investigation to include fingerprinting is required. Frequent travel is required by employee and proof of satisfactory car insurance is required.
