Summary:
New Mexico licensed or licensed Independent social work, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. A total of three (3) years’ experience providing clinical services two (2) of those years’ must have been providing direct clinical supervision. Will supervise staff in the provision of behavioral health services including planning and overseeing all administrative and therapeutic aspects of the behavioral health program. Will provide individual, group and family therapy services to clients in the program.  Must be able to read, write, understand & speak English.

Job Description:

CLINICAL SUPERVISOR RESIDENTIAL CRISIS PROGRAMS TO INCLUDE RITES OF PASSAGE, SUMMERHOUSE AND, CASA SUNRISE: Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director, supervises program managers and clinicians in residential programming, including Rites of Passage, Casa Sunrise, and Summer House. Duties include planning and overseeing all administrative, programmatic, and therapeutic aspects of the residential programs. Will provide clinical supervision for all identified staff.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

M.S.W. or M.A. degree in Psychology, Social Work, Guidance and Counseling or closely related field. New Mexico independent licensed Therapist or licensed Independent social work, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. A total of three (3) years' experience providing clinical services two (2) of those years must have been providing direct clinical supervision.

Working knowledge ofDSM-VTR and diagnostic process.

Working Knowledge of the behavioral health system in the community and associated resources. Working knowledge of Medicaid and Medicaid billing.

Must possess Medicaid Billing number and National Provider Identifier number. Ability to recognize/identify needs of children, youth, adults and their families. Ability to behave courteously, efficiently, and effectively in interpersonal relations.

Ability to exhibit emotional maturity and good judgment, to include high standards of morals and speech. Effective decision-making skills.

Working Knowledge of treatment plan development and implementation. Experience and training in Clinical Supervision models.


JOB CHARACTERISTICS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position is exempt from overtime provisions under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This is a professional position which requires organizational and communication skills, as well as judgment, tact and diplomacy in contact with YDI employees, community residents, parents, and local government agencies. Strict adherence to all regulations concerning confidentiality.

Must be in good general health. Background investigation to include fingerprinting will be required. Physical and TB Skin test is required upon hire, and may be required intermittently. Employee requires frequent travel and proof of satisfactory car insurance is required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Not Inclusive):
 

  • Provide direct supervision to the Program Managers and Clinical Staff within the crisis residential programs.
  • Provide guidance and support in managing the houses and maintaining a safe environment for program youth.
  •  Provide a minimum of one hour of face-to-face supervision per week to clinical staff and Program Managers.
  • Provide in-service training to behavioral health staff working with clients.
  • Will support the onsite clinician in providing individual, group, and family therapy services to clients in the program in their absence.
  • Review and approve all behavioral health documentation submitted by behavioral health staff pertaining to clients through the electronic medical records system.
  • Participate in clinical supervision with assigned supervisor (frequency to be determined by the supervisor).
  • Participate in monthly group supervision/training with all behavioral health staff and supervisors.
  • Assist the Clinical Director in providing all required reporting to the funding source.
  • Provide guidance and support to the program in maintaining compliance with CYFD Licensing and Certification (LCA).
  • Assist Program Manager in responding to all inquiries with LCA.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff and Program Manager in reporting and writing incident reports.
  • Provide guidance to the program as to the content and appropriateness of clients' mental health assessments; service/treatment plans; progress notes including recommendations for revision, if needed.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Team in monthly Quality Assurance file reviews.
  • Provide supervision of the Electronic Medical Records System used by YDI's behavioral health/unit billing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with YDI and Program Policy and Procedures.
  • Ensures all contract Scope of Work elements are being adhered to.
  • Assist the YDI Clinical Director in representing the YDI's behavioral health programs at all required meetings per funding requirements.
  • Actively support and participate in the planning and implementation of new and/or expansion of behavioral health programs.
  • Active participation in regular meetings with the funding source.
  • Other duties as assigned.
