Summary:

Visitation Monitor: Under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator.  Will monitor all supervised visits and exchanges for clients receiving services.


Minimum Qualifications: 

  • HSE/HS Diploma plus 6 month work related experience working directly with families preferred (12 credit hours in the social sciences field of study may be substituted for the required experience. Must be able to read, write, understand & speak English. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exhibit emotional maturity and good judgement, to include high standards of morals and speech.
  • Must have a broad knowledge of community problems particularly in the area of parent custody issues, child abuse and neglect and the effects on children.
  • Must be able to establish an effective rapport with children, youth and parents that are utilizing Neutral Corner services.
  • Must be dependable and flexible with regards to working hours.

Job Characteristics/Physical Demands: 

  • This is a professional position which requires organizational and communication skills, as well as judgment, tact and diplomacy in contacts with YDI employees, community residents, parents and local government agencies.  Strict adherence is required to all regulation concerning confidentiality.
  • Good general health. Background investigation to include fingerprinting will be required.  TB Skin Test and physical may be required every two years.
  • Travel is required by employees and proof of satisfactory car insurance is required.

Job Description:
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities (Not Inclusive): 

  • Will schedule supervised visits and exchanges
  • Will conduct supervised visits and exchanges.
  • Will monitor and administer breath/alcohol testing as required.
  • Will document all parent and child interactions during visits and exchanges.
  • Will follow all written procedures regarding the safety and security of clients.
  • Will maintain the confidentiality of all clients.
  • Will testify in court in an honest, professional manner.
  • Will follow all procedures related to collecting client user fees.
  • Will coordinate or refer clients for additional services with other YDI programs.
  • Will monitor and evaluate the provision of client services on an ongoing basis.
  • Will provide advocacy and referral services on behalf of clients.
  • Will maintain comprehensive client records and generate reports as required
  • Other duties as assigned.
